Papero Alfredo

Not all hand puppets are the same. They are just like people: different. They have their own dreams, tastes and desires. And when they really want something, they dig their heels in — just like children (and certain adults), even though they don’t actually have heels to dig in.

Papero Alfredo is Bruce’s brand-new hand puppet: small and strong-willed, yet inexperienced and a little temperamental. He loves Rap music and Freestyle, online challenges and live streaming — and he absolutely refuses to play the Pirate in the booth. This is quite a problem for poor Bruce. The Pirate’s Treasure is his most successful show — the one presenters always request. One morning, after 120 days stuck at home without work, the phone finally rings. A booking at last. They want The Pirate’s Treasure. But Papero Alfredo digs his heels in: no way. He wants to stay in his room in front of his computer. A pirate? Not at all — he’s a YouTuber! A witty and fast-paced production that explores the relationship between old and new, between fathers and sons — generations destined to love each other, challenge one another, and chase each other forever.
