Legami

EOLO Award 2025 – Special Mention for Contemporary Circus

“At the centre of the stage stands a hemp rope. Through that rope, all the emotional states of the two protagonists will unravel, intertwine and knot themselves together. The two delivery men — 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗶 and 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗲𝘀𝗶, also the creators of the piece — are tasked with delivering a parcel to a certain Godot who may or may not ever arrive.
𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼, who directs the production, guides the two characters on a journey into relationship itself, exploring all the possibilities and resources it can offer.
The language of juggling provides distinctive dramaturgical support: the ropes — in their physical substance and shifting metaphors — become both protagonists and narrative vehicles, enabling a profound reflection on the bonds that arise between human beings.”

“We never abandon your parcel. No matter how long we have to wait!”
Non importa quanto tempo dobbiamo aspettare!”

Exploring waiting and human connection through the innovative vocabulary of contemporary circus, Legami offers a poetic insight into the protagonists’ emotional journey. Through the inventive use of hemp rope as both scenographic element and circus apparatus, the performance draws audiences into a playful yet evocative adventure, inviting reflection on the nature of anticipation and human relationships. Legami promises a compelling and emotionally resonant live experience.
