A Santa for Christmas

Anyone can become Santa Claus — you just need to recognize the magic of childhood and take care of it!

At Christmas, magic really happens, and sometimes it changes life forever. This is what happens to Roberto, the protagonist of our story: a strange, lonely boy who trusts no one, hates the whole world, and is about to face a challenge that will completely transform his life — on Christmas Day itself! Roberto hates everything and everyone, especially Christmas: the gifts, the lights, the family gatherings… But being unemployed, he reluctantly ends up playing Santa Claus at the city’s shopping mall. “Since Christmas can’t be cancelled, at least you can make some money!” Unexpectedly, Roberto meets a little girl who watches him silently amidst the holiday chaos. As the day flies by, the shops close and families leave — everyone except the girl, who follows her Santa like a shadow. Roberto wants to leave for home as soon as possible, rushing to find her parents, but they are nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, the mall closes. Thus, our protagonist is forced to spend Christmas Eve with the little girl. That night turns magical for both of them, and Roberto truly becomes a Santa for Christmas! A show suitable for the whole family, this is a funny and heartwarming comedy. The story is told through actor-based and object theatre, where the set becomes part of the narrative and both children and adults will recognize themselves in the story.
